What’s the best way to fit soccer shoes?

Question:

People always tell me how I should have my soccer shoes fit and honestly I usually get them fit too tight and I end up not wearing them.  How do you fit soccer shoes?

Answer:

Great question Jill!  Though there is a majority view that soccer shoes be fit tight this can also cause confusion and ultimately pain for you if it’s not something you are prepared for.  With different shoes, different shaped feet, even different pain tolerances shoe fitting is not a one size fits all approach and anybody who tells you otherwise is not well informed.  At our stores we focus on fitting the shoe snuggly to the foot trying to eliminate as much extra space as possible (providing the person we are fitting has stopped growing) but not cramming your foot into the shoes.  However this “perfect” fit doesn’t always work out so we then make recommendations based on the shoes  you are trying on and the type of fit you are used to, as well as other factors such as how often you play, what type of conditions you play in etc.  In the end though  you must be the final judge and if we have done our job in educating you on the shoes you are trying and you feel comfortable and still snug in the shoe then you should be well on your way the enjoying your new pair of soccer shoes.

Great addition to your website, info like this is why we come to your store. We have tried other soccer stores but its just not the same, we don't get the same kind of service. Thanks for your advice
